Truth... Its The New Hate

Below is one of the best speeches to humanity ever written…said by one of the most unlikely people. Here is a speech made by funny man Charles “Charlie“ Chaplin

He was known professionally for his long history of comedy in films. In a scene made from one of his movies, Charles makes an inspirational speech made to uplift humanity. The message behind the speech is the unification of mankind beyond race, color or status. Bridging the gap between the poor, middle-class and rich so all can live in a harmonious society

I don’t know what year it was done or from what movie but regardless this is hands down one of the best speeches ever written. Take a listen and judge for yourself. If you like it pass the link on to a friend, it could brighten up their day. “During times of universal deceit, telling the truth becomes a revolutionary act.George Orwell

Brand New Muzik

"The seas of time flow endlessly. Each life no matter how majestic or important is a mere pebble. Shining briefly in the sun before being carried away by its waves.

I often think of the passage of time when listening to music lately. Hip-Hop has evolved so much since the days of Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five "The Message". It was once a medium to breakdown social barriers, raise awareness, and ignite social change.

Now mainstream Hip-Hop is a means for artists to promote their newest venture. Media hype to sell a phone, liquor, clothing or accessory. I miss the variety that 90's Hip-Hop had. There was hardcore, conscious, gangsta and even horror Hip-Hop courtesy of the Gravediggaz. What the 90's had that is almost non-existent today is variety. There was a diversity of elements that made Hip-Hop a musical genre like no other.

Now I can listen to hours of music and have 80% cover the same subject matter Cars, Money, Drugs, Guns and Girls. Don't get it twisted, that is part of the foundation of Hip-Hop but back in the day, the people rappin that lifestyle were actually living it. Most of the catz rappin about that lifestyle now have only seen it on their television. I'm not hatin... I just miss the diversity.

After searching through numerous artists and videos I posted some brand new muzik by up and coming as well as established artists. What I like is the return of the cypher. Tracks with 7 or 8 MC's so the listener gets a feel of how different styles can compliment each other over a beat. Check out how DJ Diamond Kuts puts it down for Philly.

Album Reviews

The fall season is upon us in Holland and its been raining like the end of days. I keep expecting an ark to float by filled with exotic animals. The rain has given me a chance to listen to some dope tunes.  I never review music that I don't like cuz I don't believe in giving bad press. If you're familiar with my previous posts you know how I grade music. If you're unfamiliar here's the scoop. I rate in a five star system 5 being the highest 1 the lowest, check my older posts for a more in depth breakdown. With that said...lets get it in.

Kanye West & Jay Z - Watch The Throne  *** (3)

Perhaps my expectations were to high but when two moguls get thrown in the tank together I expected to hear magic. The flows are nice, the beats are nice, but its just that...nice. There are a few dope productions on the album but overall its average nice. If you're a Jay Z or Kanye fan it can be a nice addition to your collection.

Pete Rock & Smif-N-Wessun - Monumental **** (4.25)

This album lives up to the name. Pete Rock is known for making classic beats and it seems like he saved some of the best tracks for this project. Smif-N-Wessun spit rhymes like two hungry young rappers looking for a deal. The chemistry between the three comes off as a smooth blend of classic Hip-Hop with new flavor.  There are guest appearances by Sean Price, Memphis Bleek, Styles P, Raekwon, Bun B, and several other heavy hitters. Standout songs like That's Hard, Feel Me, This One, and Night Time give the album a cypher like quality that can appeal to mainstream or underground listeners.

Canibus & Keith Murray - In Gods We Trust: Crush Microphones to Dust  *** (3.75)

I was waiting for this album to be released. Canibus is a lyrical monster and I've been a fan since his work with the Lost Boyz. By the time 1st round K.O. was released he was already a well respected MC. Keith Murray is no slouch when it comes to spittin. As a member of the Def Squad he used to go toe to toe with Redman and Erick Sermon. His track "The most beautifullest thing is this world" is still considered a Hip-Hop classic. The two lyricists have good chemistry and better rhymes. The only thing that needed improvement was a few of their beats. The majority of the production is on point and I would definitely recommend this album to any Canibus or Keith Murray fan.

The Game – The Red Album ** (2.75)

The Game had made a name for himself with a mix of controversy (his blood gang affiliation), Beef with former label mate 50cent and by name dropping other artists in his rhymes. The Documentary helped bring the West back while making the game more than just another G-Unit soldier. This project had potential but the one dimensional subject matter and multitude of gang references weigh it down. The Red Album features production by Dr. Dre and a few other industry heavy weights. Overall this album has a few good tracks but its not going to make Game the west-coast legend he aspires to be.

Next album review will be only underground artists. The mainstream is over saturated with artists who have all the promotion and radio play but rhymes, delivery and subject matter is lacking. Some of the new tracks I've been listening to have all these qualities minus the budget.

Super Earth Found

A planet with Earth like conditions has been discovered. The Planet was discovered by HARPS (High Accuracy Radial Planet Searcher) and has four times the mass of Earth. It's also close enough to its yellow sun to support life and since its close to its yellow sun the planet named HD 85512 B has a consistent temperature of seventy-seven degrees. It is a world almost four times the size of Earth and is located 36 light-years away in the constellation Vela.

The planet exists in what scientists term the habitable zone. This means its in the area around a star where water could exist in liquid form, which would make a potential planet livable. To date scientists have found more than 50 new planets and 16 potentially habitable ones. I posted clips from the news interview from CNN and other media outlets on this planet and other Astronomical discoveries.

Tyger Vinum live

I've been doing allot of shows lately in between working on new music. My most recent show was at the Little Stage in Berlin on September 3rd. The venue was nice, the vibe was cool, and the people know how to party.

Before that I did a show  at the CC Muziek Cafe in Amsterdam on August 16th. That was a different vibe all together. The venue was more of a lounge performer set-up. There were instruments of all types on the stage for singer/songwriters to display their talent. The audience was a mix of middle aged to young Dutch and international people who weren't ready for me to unleash the beast.

Tyger Vinum live was a one hour set with my homie DJ Illskillz playing mostly new material and a few older joints. The crowd didn't know how to react at first but after the two songs they were hungry for more. Below I posted clips from the CC Muziek Cafe show for those who want to see how I get busy. I didn't have a camera for my last show in Berlin but I'll be back doing a show at the Acud Session Cafe on November 18th so I'll have some footage from that performance to post.

Elenin Comet Causing Earthquakes September 2011

The world has natural disasters all the time, its part of our history. Over the last few years the disasters such as earthquakes, climate change and numerous others have increased in frequency and strength. According to a group of astronomers and scientists its because a comet or dwarf star with a mass greater than Jupiter has been flying towards the Earth.

The celestial bodies name is ELEnin and its been known about since 1965 and causing magnetic pole migration since about 2004. The research indicates that Earth will experience a polar shift around 9/26 to 9/27, when the Sun, Earth and this ELE (Extinction Level Event) object go into alignment on the autumn equinox

Below is a video giving detailed information about Elenin and its history with the Earth. What I like about the video is that it encourages watchers to conduct your own research. Then gives resources on how to do it. Whether you believe the video or not it never hurts to watch and be informed. I also added a few other videos in the subject to provide more info.

Eye Bombing

I love graff art! Back in my teens I used to do bubble letters on whatever surface I could find. As I got older, I went from bubble letters to images then stopped all together in favor of writing rhymes. But I never stopped loving the craft. What I like to see in good pieces of graff work is a strong technique. Meaning if you're doing letters, the letters have good borders, colors and are easy to read. If you're combining text with images the same rules apply accept the image has to be creatively done to compliment whatever the text says.

Below are some excellent pieces of graff art that are eye bombing the mind to capture your interest and imagination. I scoured the net searching for the names of all the artists work who appear in this post, but regrettably I couldn't find the names of everyone. Some of these pieces are so dope they look like they belong in a museum. Its sad to think that some of this art will be ravaged by the winds of time. As the old saying goes...nothing lasts forever, so enjoy it while its here.

If you love graffiti art check out these posts (Local Graff Art and Local Graff Art 2) by clicking on the titles. The series is ongoing and features graff from different artists in Holland, so check back periodically for updates.

New Muzik

There's been a few new hot joints coming out. I like some of Black Robs new songs, Random Axe is one of the best super groups since Slaughterhouse started releasing music. Keeping in the spirit of banging tunes I give you new muzik from Pete Rock and Smif-n-Wesson featuring Buckshot. Their new album Monumental just came out and once I give it a thorough listen I'll put it in the album review.

I've been a fan of the whole Boot Camp Clik since Black Moon, "Who Got Da Props?" I got into Pete Rock when I heard the track "They Reminisce Over You" with CL Smooth. That song is a classic so I have high expectations for the collabo album with Smif-n-Wes. Aside from them I got a few other hot tracks below.

How 2 Make Free Money

There is a simple way to make allot of money. First have a good idea, second...ask for it. I know that sounds like a no-brainer but its true. There's a name for this type of fund raising and its not beggar. Its called venture capitalist funding and its a respected profession. Venture capitalist fund raiser's are people who accept donations for starving children in Africa, for public schools, and land development. They are wall street business types that operate non-profit organizations. These are real people who care about making the world a better place.

The term venture capital means money provided to a high risk but also high potential start-up company. Most companies that need venture capital are biotechnology, or software companies that have some new invention they need funds for to market and produce their product. That is exactly what the people at donorschoose.org do, except they're fund raising for education. Their idea was so good they got a donation from miss money banks herself...Oprah Winfrey. She really supports education and is willing to donate to venture capitalists who come up with innovative ways to provide it.

So the next time you hear a school or hospital was built in the US or some poverty stricken country from venture capital funding you'll know what it means. Also if you're feeling generous and would like to assist in donating to one of hundreds of education, housing and land development projects click on the links above.

Summer Jams

I haven't had allot of time for posting lately cuz I'm preparing for my shows. I have a show at the CC Muziek Cafe in Amsterdam on August 16th. Then one in Berlin, Germany at the Little Stage nightclub on September 3rd. In between all that I've been working on new music and other side ventures. To put it simple...I've been busy.

In between work I've been listening to new music and found a few summer jams that are worth checking out. Also since it is summer time, I thought it was only proper to post the DJ Jazzy Jeff and The Fresh Prince classic tune Summertime with the other songs. I recently found out that the song was ghost written by Masta Ace.
