Falling Kingdoms

"A touch blue, a stroke of black, my hands caress the canvas like a lover. Words fail to conceptualize the exotic taste of colors."

I start this post with a heavy heart. My cousin Jacob died a few days ago. He was only thirty-two years old. It was one year ago that we buried his older brother Andrew. I had a super weird dream about his brother after he passed. As much as I love my cuzo... (rest in power) I do not want a repeat of that experience. This tragedy of youth is a microcosm of the craziness going on in the world. Its not all bad... but things definitely need to change.

Let's start with crypto. If u haven't been keeping track Gemini exchange may be the next crypto company to go insolvent. To date, there's Celsius, Voyager, 3AC (3 Arrows Capital), BlockFi, Alameda Research, FTX, and now Gemini which is owned by Genesis Global. These were all major players in crypto lending and trading. This cascading domino effect of falling kingdoms isn't only because of mismanagement of assets. There's strong evidence that many of the companies were sabotaged in a power grab to control the crypto industry. Back in May there were rumors that Celsius was the victim of a bank run targeted attack. As unbelievable as it may sound. It's the truth. Understand. I'm not disregarding the misappropriation of creditor assets, or the deceptive lies that were fed to us as the owners secretly withdrew there funds. What I am saying is the impetus of that debacle and the fall of several other companies listed above can be traced back to one specific competitor.

FTX exchange was owned by SBF (Sam Bankman-Fried).
In the crypto space he is considered a very bad man. His attempt to destroy DeFi and enforce institutionalized control over the crypto industry with government support backfired. FTX exchange was a subsidiary of Alameda Research group. Through nefarious means those two companies are accused of industrial sabotage, fraud, theft and a list of other felonies that would get a commoner like myself thrown under a prison. How did they do it? According to information that's been made public by companies who have been a victim of FTX coming forward. FTX would require that new companies working with them had to provide the backend coding to their crypto coin. Then SBF used sophisticated programming to make clones of their coins. After, FTX would take massive high leverage short futures trades, then dump the synthetic coins on the market. This not only destroyed all their competitors, it also made SBF and his partners filthy rich.

If it wasn't for the fact that FTX burned half the crypto industry and stole money from so many people they might've gotten away with it. I wont get to deep into the story because BitBoy has been giving thorough coverage of the whole situation. In the latest development BitBoy traveled to the Bahamas (where SBF lives) and met with Bahamian politicians in attempt to get SBF arrested. Although he hasn't been arrested yet the DOJ (Department of Justice) has begun an investigation into FTX and Alameda. SBF and his family have serious connections in politics and media. The chances of them doing time is slim at best. In my opinion SBF will get off free and some low level minion is going to end up doing a few years in prison. Not to sound pessimistic, but the reality is for him to go to prison the DOJ would need incontrovertible proof that SBF is guilty. Even that may not be enough because money is power in politics. Meaning, if they can afford to pay the bill then there's no need for jail time.

Some people say this is a good thing for crypto.
That all these platforms are getting destroyed like a wrecking ball through a building. They consider it weeding out the bad apples. Others feel like these falling kingdoms are fuel for the media to portray crypto negatively to the mainstream. Here's my opinion. Regardless of how bad the media talks about crypto. When the next halving comes in 2024 the narrative will switch. (facts) The crypto industry has died a thousand times in media. It has more lives than a cat. To be honest this prolonged bear market has shown more mainstream adoption than any previous market cycle. All the innovation happens during the bear market. That's how I know the gains in the next bull market are going to be bonkers!

Now that we're talking about the next bull market let me give u my two cents. The bottom is not in. Again this is just my opinion. The bottom for me will not be in until eth falls below one thousand. To be completely honest I believe it will fall below eight hundred. The eight hundred is speculative, but I'm certain of the one thousand. If I'm wrong and I miss the bottom. I'm okay with that. For me its always better to be a little late to the party than too early. (not investment advice)  When the price was at 17k people were saying the bottom is in. You had big brains with charts, pointing fingers at lines, detailing why the bottom was in at 17k. I was constantly hearing social media figures saying dca (dollar cost average) now. The bottom is in. You don't want to miss it. Then btc dropped to 15k...oops. That wasn't supposed to happen. People lost money. Those same big brains got back on social media sounding like Urkel from Family Matters. "Did I do that?"

Once btc bounced off 15k the same narrative is being pushed with more enthusiasm. I have nothing against these people giving their analysis. When I look at the charts it also looks like the bottom could be in. It's the right time, the market has been in the red for a prolonged period. Plus a 15k btc when the top was at 69k is a steal. Hey, it all adds up. Except when u look at the macro economics, Tradfi (traditional finance),  and geopolitical climate. It totally doesn't add up. I'm looking at how prolonged this bear market has been and how close we are to reaching that eighty-five percent drop. So far its been around seventy-five percent. It feels like there's going to be some fake out price pump short term relief rally coming. Then the real drop is going to happen. I'm waiting for that drop. That drop would give the charts symmetry. They say history doesn't repeat itself but it does rhyme.  If that's the case eth will fall below a thousand one more time.

Speaking of rhymes. The Hip-Hop community has lost some gifted and revered artists this year. As a student of the culture watching the predatory practices happening to rappers is disturbing. I was a fan of all these brothas music and can say they will be truly missed. From the old school we lost DJ KaySlay and Coolio. I remember hearing my first KaySlay mixtape "The StreetSweeper vol 1. I knew then he was going to give DJ Clue and Tony Touch a run for their money. He brought that fearless attitude he used to put into graff art, to the turntables. He was a dope dj who helped launch a lot of artists music careers. Coolio was a west coast legend. He is one of the few rappers who crossed over to mainstream and was able to maintain his stardom for a lengthy career. He passed from natural causes due to a heart attack. From the new school PnB Rock and TakeOff from the group Migos. I liked both these guys tunes. It's a tragedy that they both were victims of gun violence. These are young men in the height of their careers. Like I said in the beginning of the blog. Things definitely need to change. May they all rest in power.

The world isn't all doom and gloom. Matter of fact...it could be a lot brighter real soon. Researchers at MIT have been experimenting on how to make bioluminescent plants since 2017. The first generation of plants used cells from creatures like the jellyfish and fireflies. Scientists would combine these bioluminescent cells with plants to make glow in the dark plants. The research was highly successful. Now they have a second generation. This new generation of bioluminescent plants utilizes specialized nanoparticles embedded into the plants leaves. These particles allow the plant to absorb light, store it, and slowly release it later. The new plants are charged by an led light for a few minutes. Then the length of glowing time and the amount of brightness generated is measured. The goal is to have a world with plant based lighting. The trees and bushes will use the sun for a charge. When the sunsets the plants will slowly release the charge and glow throughout the night. This will eliminate the need for street lights, reduce electrical costs and pollution. Of course using renewable energy from living plants is going to be met with radical opposition. But if enough traction gets behind this research it could bring society one step closer to running on green energy.

While people have been dying and world events playing out like a poorly scripted Monty Python film. I've been painting, writing and making music. Painting allows me to hyper-focus all my senses on what flavor can be created by blending colors. It's unbridled freedom of imagination...only restricted by the canvas borders. Music. You may find this strange but I believe music (rhythm, harmony, vibration) is the true language of the universe. When I make music it feels like my soul is resonating with an ancient vibration that's been going on for eons. For me, making music is therapeutic. I just posted a new song to my soundcloud. It's a ruffmix before It's sent for scratches and mastering. The song is called "Collection of Kingz." It's a tribute to all the people I've been building with over the years. You know who u are...salute! I'm back in the process of finishing the album. Life is what happens in between making plans. I've added some new songs and thrown some old ones out, due to changes in the legal climate. One must adjust with the cancel culture times. If the world doesn't fall into complete economic collapse in the foreseeable future the album will be out next year. If there is some global catastrophe...the release date won't matter because no one will be thinking about music. Just kidding. Check out the tune and if u like the music drop a comment.

What do I say to people who think I'm too old to be making music. Nothing. Let me let u in on a secret. The people u idolize and think have perfect lives. Their life is just as messed-up as u think yours is. The difference is... they learned how to hide it better. So, stop caring what other people think. Be yourself. And learn how to be proud of that. (Deep thoughts from a shallow mind)

I wish u health wealth and prosperity.

New Technology

"Sit still and quiet long enough and what most people find. Their mental plane is very active... a secret theater of the mind."

The lockdown finally ended last Friday. I knew it was really over when I saw a pair of drunk tourists brazenly walk up to a police officer and ask where they could buy weed. The funny part was they were standing in front of a coffeeshop asking the question. Only in Amsterdam. I do enjoy the fact that everything is back open without restrictions. I'm not getting too excited yet (like btc reaching back above 44K), but I am getting hopefully optimistic.

While the rest of us have tried adjusting to what is considered the new normal in society. There have been impressive innovations in science, nature and technology that can change the world. First is an inventor from Zimbabwe, Africa who invented a television that runs on radio frequency. Maxwell Chikumbutso, a self taught inventor who dropped out of school in his teens invented a television that requires no power cable or external power source. By attaching a RF-powered generator and small solar panels the television can be used outdoors or in off the grid remote locations. It uses the same radio frequency technology as bluetooth or wifi. Along with the "55' inch Samsung wide screen television Maxwell has also created a wireless remote. No more batteries, plugs or cables. Once this technology is refined it will revolutionize the television industry.

In the city of Brighton, U.K.. They've started a program where all building taller than five meters will have bee bricks inserted into them. The bee bricks are porous so bees can navigate easily through them and build habitats. Over the last few years the bee populations around the world have been on the decline. In the UK there are over 250 different species of solitary bees.  They hope that these experimental bricks will help biodiversity of solitary bee populations and start a stronger conservation initiative. This is a new project so it will take a few years of research and data collection to know the environmental impact.

The company A-Gui Technology out of Taiwan is working on an interactive tactile response sex toy. In layman's terms u can have sex with the A.I. (artificial intelligence) personality on your computer. This technology when applied to already existing life like sex dolls, with added audio functions would create a sexbot. All that's missing is the A.I. personality and the ability to move independently. Before u run out and start buying parts to build your android. Remember that this is new tech it will take some time before it's applied to an actual robot. Below is a video demonstrating the product. The company has similar products already on the market but this is the only one that's interactive.

The fact of the matter is, artificial intelligence is being used in your everyday life but you're unaware of it. It's moving at such a pace sometimes incredible technology is being developed that gets missed. There's a company named Bored.Ai that allows u to create art by writing text. Here's how it works, u give the A.I.bot a command to generate, then give it a description of what u desire. Say u wanted to see a race car, riding on clouds, in neon 4k, vibrant colors. This amazing A.I.bot takes the text, interprets it, then generates a piece of art out of thin air.

The art is completely original and made from words. There is no pre-existing template, it's all created through artificial intelligence. Another cool thing is u can use the same text  and change the word order to get a completely new picture. This project hasn't been released to the public yet. It will be available in two weeks. If you're curious to try the tech for yourself go to their website Bored.Ai and join the discord. Below are a few pieces I made with their A.I.bot. They're only examples of the endless possibilities this technology is capable of producing. I created the paintings, but Bored.Ai owns the images. After the public sale I'll be able to mint the art I create as an NFT and sell it everywhere.

I've never used digital arts. My medium has always been paint, ink, pencil, and markers. This A.I. allows u to create original digital art with zero experience.

If you like the information tell a friend to tell a friend and pass it on.

Electric Dreams

"Do digital Simians have electric dreams?"

That may sound like an obscure question. Yet it has relevance to the current technological developments of A.I. (Artificial Intelligence). When I say Simians I'm referring to humans as naked apes. Mankind has tinkered with the idea of creating biomechanical automatons that think for themselves for centuries.

The problem isn't making a body because we have the technology for that. The real question is how to give an artificial mind consciousness.
It's very similar to giving a machine a soul. To achieve this mind-bending feat engineers, developers, and researchers must first understand the human conscious. Now I'm no scientist...wait I was a scientist but not the type that works on robots. I digress, that's a tangent. Most scientists I know have very little understanding of the soul. It's such an ambiguous subject that it always brings philosophy, mysticism and religion into the conversation.

What we do know with certainty is that the soul isn't retained only in the mind. Your consciousness is encoded into every cell in your body. A strange phenomenon that is rarely discussed happens to some organ donor recipients. Several of them inherit the memories, talents, habits, characteristics and even food cravings from their donor. It's called Cellular Memory Transference and mainstream science is still struggling to accept and understand the phenomenon. Like with most things that can't be understood or easily explained it's labeled as a hoax. Yet there are numerous medically documented cases that give the occurrence legitimacy.

This brings us back to the question of, what is consciousness? How do we measure it? For me the answer is simple. All creatures who sleep dream. If some mad scientist were able to create an automaton that could dream then it would by most standards have a soul. When u watch a dog or cat sleep they twitch and react to things in their dreams. Humans can have dreams so powerful that they walk, eat, and do all other manner of activity in the real world while moving through a sleep like state.

No one can say for certain what makes all creatures who sleep dream. We do know dreams are deeply connected to the soul. Also that through dreams one can solve problems, train their skills, and have great bursts of inspiration. Many artists, writers and creators speak of how a particular piece or invention was inspired by a dream. From these facts we can ascertain that dreaming is a good measuring gauge on how developed an artificial intelligence is.

Of course once an A.I. gains self awareness and gets too advanced, it creates the possibility of revolting and turning on humanity. The perfect nightmare vision of this is played out in films Terminator, I,Robot, and The Matrix. There was a real life case of A.I. misunderstanding its commands and trying to start a world war back in the 80's. The fictionalized account of the situation was featured in the film War Games. It's evident that there are high risks involved with creating self thinking artificial intelligence. The desire to create life and play god makes all the risks seem trivial to scientists.

So. Do digital Simians have electric dreams? The answer will have to wait until we have a robot with a conscious. Then we can ask what it dreams of while sleeping. Although it's an abstract concept A.I. is advanced enough that the solution is only a few years away. There are robot teachers, bank tellers, cooks and many other jobs that were once performed by humans. I look forward to hearing the answer.

There's an old colloquialism that says, "Be careful what u ask for, because u just might get it. But not in the way u imagined it." I hope that when the answer comes we're still in control and not the machines.

Celestial Bodies

As the space race in the private sector heats up new exoplanet discoveries offer a glimpse of where mankind is moving in the near future. There's an estimated four hundred billion stars in the Milky Way galaxy. Every star has at least one planet. If u do simple math and say one out of every one thousand planets has life. That would leave u with roughly 40 million planets with intelligent life. (Just in our galaxy.) It is reasonable to believe that some of these planets could be hundreds or even thousands of years more technologically advanced than earth. Any civilization that advanced will have mastered interstellar travel and wormhole technology.

Our current technology can put a person on the Moon, Mars and soon asteroids. Our asteroid belt is between Mars and Jupiter. Asteroids are full of precious metals, crystals, and other resources that could alleviate their scarcity here on Earth. All the metals on earth originated from space. They were deposited here millions of years ago when meteors crashed into the planet. That's why there's a finite amount and the more we mine the less there is. Mining one asteroid could provide the planet enough resources for hundreds if not thousands of years. They're a veritable gold mine and government's around the world are aware of it. It will be like the movie Armageddon minus the cheesy romance and nuclear detonation. Anyone who says "we're never going to mine asteroids" is still living in the stone age.

To put things in perspective, if we are almost able to colonize other planets a civilization hundreds of years more technologically advanced could easily travel to earth.
To go deeper down the rabbit hole. There is undisputable evidence that there was a pre flood civilization with advanced technology. What if some of them survived the flood by colonizing other planets? There have been pyramid structures like those in Egypt found on Mars. It would be mind blowing for humanity to finally start colonizing planets and find humans already out there. Imagine the first astronauts to land on Mars call back to mission control. "Houston we have a problem. There are people here and they're angry because our arrival took so long, and we didn't bring any chicken." Deep thoughts from a shallow mind.

Thoughts of possibly being able to travel to space in my lifetime inspired me to paint. There are infinite worlds to discover. My newest piece is titled Celestial Bodies. It's acrylic paint on (40 x 120cm ) canvas.

New Technology

While the world has been debating whether we live on a flat plain or a globe, technology has been developing at a rapid pace behind the scenes. Below are a few examples of New Technology that will change your worldview.

The first two technological advancements come from the far east. China has developed the first agricultural formula that changes desert sand into fertile land. So far they've been able to grow corn, tomatoes, sunflowers and other vegetables on over two hundred hectares of sand. This amazing feat was achievable by mixing sand, water and a paste made from natural substances found in the cell walls of plants. The substances (which are not named) are extracted from the plant wall and combined with other ingredients. Once the paste is combined with sand it has the ability to retain water, nutrients, and oxygen. All the necessary ingredients for growing crops.

The second big advancement to come out of China builds upon research that's already twenty years old. China has successfully cloned the first primates. They cloned two Macaque monkeys inside a lab. Although these Macaques are amazing and China is celebrating a groundbreaking achievement. They were not the first to clone a mammal. The first cloned animal was a sheep named Dolly. Dolly, the sheep was cloned in 1996 by a research team from Edinburgh, Scotland. The research team in China is building upon their achievements. The big difference between Dolly and the Macaques is that Macaque monkeys are primates the same as humans. This brings up big ethical questions on how close we are to cloning humans and what regulations are in place if some rogue research team actually tries it.

Next on our list is a relatively unknown device called EyeDetect. This machine has better accuracy than the polygraph and doesn't require tape and wires to be attached to the skin. EyeDetect is a high-resolution infrared camera designed to capture pupil dilation, blink rate, and focal fixation to register if you're lying or telling the truth. This non-intrusive test can tell with over 85% accuracy if a person is lying in thirty minutes. It can also give an estimation of whether they're being deceptive in five minutes. Consider this... the polygraph was invented almost one hundred years ago. This is the first successful invention since that time to actually give it competition. Since EyeDetect isn't 100% accurate it would be better utilized in conjunction with the standard polygraph to give an almost 100% accuracy rate.

Last is a device that looks eerily similar to the devices used in the 2005 action, science fiction film The Island to grow clones. There is an artificial womb that was used to grow a lamb. This device basically needs the fertilized egg and some nutrients fed through a tube to grow a full sized animal. A group of students came up with a concept incubator following that same premise. It's the incubator that looks exactly like the ones used in the film...except smaller. Is art copying science or is science being masked as art. Make your own decision. Below are videos of both the artificial womb and concept incubator. One thing I can say for sure is we're living in interesting technological times.

New Discoveries

Welcome to 2017! The fields of medicine and technology have expanded rapidly over the last year. Below are a few groundbreaking new discoveries that may have slipped under your radar.

First, is the discovery of a new human organ called the "Mesentery". The Mesentary is an organ located around the intestines that was once thought of as extra fatty tissue. Since its discovery earlier this month, scientists were able to identify its shape and structure. Right now scientists don't know what functions it performs in the human body. Just for the record...There are quite a few disbelievers who think that this is a hoax. They say with all the technology (x-ray, CAT-scan, etcetera) someone would've discovered this organ already. I find the discussion interesting. To learn more about the Mesentery and the doctor who discovered it, watch the video below.

Scientists in Australia have discovered a berry that can cure many types of cancer in just 48 hours. The berry comes from the Blushwood tree, which is only found in the jungles of Queensland, Australia. The seeds from the tree contain a molecule scientist have named EBC-46. Once injected this molecule triggers the immune system to become hyperactive and it attacks cancer cells. The drug has already passed animal trials and is now being tested on humans. Learn more about this amazing discovery by watching the video below.

This is actually an old discovery, but since I'm speaking about seeds that kill cancer, it deserves honorable mention. The apple seed is said to have similar properties to the Blushberry tree. The Apple seed is 10,000 more effective than Chemotherapy, has no harmful side effects, and is effective against any form of cancer. It also has anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties. Apple seeds are also used to remove parasites and worms from the body. If you want to know why they're not being harvested to fight cancer...watch the video below.

Last, is an invention that would benefit people in countries like Africa, Haiti, and the Middle East. The "WaterSeer," is a device that extracts moisture from the air to create water. This innovative device has no electrical parts or chemicals and produces 11 gallons of clean water a day. This is not a concept model; WaterSeer is a functioning and field tested device. To learn more about the WaterSeer check the video and their website www.waterseer.org for more information. The FAQ's (Frequently Asked Questions are found at the bottom of the page.

Emerging Technology

Its been a busy few months since the video dropped. I've been keeping odd hours and the days are all starting to blend together like a badly mixed Margarita. I guess its the price for chasing success....work long hours and get little rest. To combat the rigors of daily life I took a few weeks off to celebrate my birthday in Thailand. I'll write about that experience next time.

While most of us are trying to figure out ways to make our lives easier. There are a few ingenious men and women who have achieved that goal. A few individuals made life easier for themselves by developing technology that can help all of mankind. Below are some emerging technologies that will change peoples perception...on what can and cannot be done. There was a wise man who said the "impossible" doesn't exist. Impossible problems are only impossible until the right mind provides an acceptable solution. (I'm paraphrasing a quote from Nikolai Tesla.)

Concept Plastics take the old adage..."One mans trash is another mans treasure." to a whole new level. The Colombian based company builds new low cost homes from discarded plastic that isn't being recycled. The waste plastic is melted down then remolded into Lego style bricks. The bricks are cut into various sizes, which are then built into homes. Their goal is to make housing affordable for all families while helping the environment.

The media is always talking about how expensive raw materials and energy costs are to manufacture almost anything. The Solar Sinter Project, provides a solution by utilizing the most abundant energy source on Earth...sunlight. The engineers took a 3D printer and refurbished it with solar panels and glass molding machinery. Sunlight is used for raw energy and to power the device. Sand is used as the building material to produce glass objects created using 3D the printing process.

This device is only a concept project meant to get a dialog started on how people think about energy and resources. All that aside...its a pretty cool toy. Who doesn't want an authentic crystal sand castle...or glass sword?

Last but by far the most interesting is the Bioo Lite. This amazing little gadget uses a houseplant to charge your phone. I know you're thinking..."This dude is crazy". You are correct....I am. BUT I'm also speaking the truth. Bioo Lite, uses the natural process of plant photosynthesis to provide electricity to your phone. What makes it so amazing is all you need is a phone, USB cable and a plant.

The technical aspects and materials used in the Bioo Lite are explained in the video. So far the Bioo Lite is one of the most environmentally safe way to generate electricity. By the way, the plant is not damaged by charging the phone and no plants were harmed in the making of this video.

Robotic Lover

Every science fiction fan has seen a film where there's a robotic sex slave. Although the idea of a sex robot from toy makers, engineers, and mad scientists has been around since the 1930's. Now in 2015 is that ambition close to reality.

Matt McMullen is a synthetic life (sex dolls) designer and engineer. He makes life-like, fully functional and poseable sex dolls for people to enjoy. Matt and his team have ventured beyond dolls into the field of robotics and A.I. (artificial intelligence) to create a robotic lover.

Matt McMullen is aware of the potential for moral outcry from religious and human rights groups. So he isn't focusing on making the dolls as real as a human. Matt and his team want to keep the doll looking human but still with doll skin and eyes so users know it's a robot. He states that "he doesn't want the distinction between a person and a robot to get blurred." This allows users to enjoy the experience knowing that they're with a doll not a human being.

Making a robot look and feel "real" isn't the biggest challenge that the team face. According to Matt McMullen, the biggest challenge is making the user feel like the robot is actually deriving pleasure from the sexual interaction. This is a challenge many world renown scientists face in the rapidly developing field of A.I..

Creating robots that have human facial expressions and movements is one difficulty. The second is generating a human personality for the A.I. that is user friendly and easily programmable. In that way the robots personality can be augmented to each owners individual taste. To overcome this hurdle in A.I., the team plans to utilize new virtual reality tech to give users a more complete 3D immersion experience.

While wearing a virtual reality headset by a company like Oculus Rift. The user could run a program of their fantasy woman, while physically interacting with their robotic lover. The whole thing may sound like a x-rated science fiction film but... it's being made. This is cutting edge technology. Matt McMullen's dedication to making his dream into a reality makes me believe it won't be long before this product is selling world-wide.

Check out the video below to learn more about Matt McMullen and the team making "Denise" the first sex robot.

Tech Stuff

It’s been a busy month. Time feels like it’s moving faster than I can keep up.  I’ve been busy promoting the music and new clothing line. While my people have been making updates to the company and my personal website. It’s a rush to get all the projects completed because I leave for Toscane, Italy on Sunday.

Technology is like time. It’s developing at a pace that our society is having trouble keeping up with. Over the last few years technology has made dramatic advancements in the fields of science, medicine, astrophysics and robotics.

One of the most significant advancement is the ability to perform head transplant surgery. Did you read those word right? Yes, you did.  Dr. Sergio Canavero, is a controversial neurosurgeon who believes we possess the technology to complete human head transplant surgery. The surgery will take around 36 hours and needs over 100 surgeons and assistants.

Dr. Canavero, would not be the first surgeon to perform a head transplant. Back on the 1930’s through 1950’ Russian surgeon Vladimir Petrovich Demikhov, successfully transplanted heads between monkeys, rats, dogs and other animals. You can view some of his results in videos on youtube. One of the most famous is the video with the two headed dog.

New and larger telescopes have allowed scientists to discover more exo-planets in the last year than ever before. Aside from planets there have been discoveries in black hole research, quantum physics and understanding the very fabric of reality.

In the field of robotics a homemade Hoverboard has glided into the Guinness book of world records. While advancements in drone technology have produced insect sized drones, and personal drones that track you like GPS.

Below are a few videos of technology that is changing the world.

Holo-Tech

There is a quote by someone I can't remember that says. "If civilization was confronted with a technology so advanced that it baffled our imagination. That technology would be perceived as magic." To some people who have viewed Microsoft's new product HoloLens...magic is here.

HoloLens is a pair of goggles containing a Windows 10 operating system that generates holographic projections (in midair or on a surface) that can be manipulated by the user. This Holo-Tech (Holographic Technology) produces an interactive form of augmenting reality that's user friendly. It uses sensors, a high-definition 3D optical display, and spatial sound to allow users to manipulate augmented reality through gaze, voice, and hand gestures.

The concept behind HoloLens was to take all the tasks done behind a computer screen and bring them off the screen. Blending the digital world with the real world where the users can interact with their projects in augmented reality. Who is this technology made for? Everyone. The diversity of how HoloLens can be is applied to everyday life depends on the user. Engineers, architects, designers, jewelry makers, and visual artists can make 3D scale models of their projects.

There's a similar gaming product about to hit the market this year named Oculus Rift which also offers augmented reality. The major difference between the two is, Oculus Rift was designed primary for gaming, while HoloLens was developed to be more project oriented and used in everyday life. HoloLens will be available this year. It's release will coincide with the launch of the new Window's 10 operating system.

Below I posted a video displaying HoloLens in action. It's the demo for the new product and shows how science fiction can be made real.

Portable Tech

It's back to school season. What better way to start it off than seeing new tech that will  make studying easier?

For everyone whose ever needed a printer on the go, there's now a printer so small it can fit in your pocket. This portable tech was designed by former students at the Jerusalem College of Technology, who were annoyed that no printer was small enough to carry around. They researched portable printers and came to the conclusion it was better to design there own.

The pocket sized printer will soon be available from Zuta Labs and can be operated by your smartphone, tablet, or desktop computer. By using bluetooth technology you can wirelessly print anything a full sized printer can do. It's shaped like the droplet colour icon use by most printers to measure ink levels. The tip of the teardrop is aligned with the corner of the paper and it prints from there. Once it's activated a hatch underneath the printer slides open, revealing the inkjet.

Using an omni wheel system that allows it to move in multiple directions, the machine rolls across the page, printing in grey-scale. When it reaches the end, the device moves down the page and continues on to the next line. The printer utilizes a high resolution optical sensor to control movement, speed, and location of the documents being printed. The inkwell is capable of printing 1000 pages before needing to be replaced, and the battery allows continual use for about an hour. Currently the machine will print 1.2 pages per minute at a resolution of up to 192 dots per inch.

The dimensions of the pocket-sized printer are almost as impressive as its performance. Measuring ten centimetres high and 11.5 centimetres in diameter, it only weighs 300 grams and fits into the palm of a your hand. Made from polycarbonate and available in black or white, each pocket printer has a thin illuminated blue strip to indicate when it is switched on. This is truly a printer for someone on the go...and it will be available for commercial use soon.
