Welkom to 2019! It's a new year full of potential opportunities. I would like to thank all of my supporters for sticking by me during the turbulence of 2018. I also want to thank all my haters for fueling my motivation to go harder and make the business bigger this year. Without the love and the hate...I could never evolve into a better man.
Last year was hard in business and my personal life. Some of the problems bled into my music while the others remained in the shadows. There's an old saying called Murphy's Law, which states..."Anything that can go wrong will go wrong." For me all the things went wrong around the same time. The crypto market crashed. For those of you who don't know, I'm a serious cryptocurrency investor. I started with mining bitcoin and namecoin back in 2014, and later got into trading. When the market crashed last year it caused a ripple effect damaging my other business endeavors like music and merchandising. I lost a lot of money and had to rearrange my assets to start making it back.
Last year wasn't all bad though. I got to do a lot of traveling to places on my bucket list and released the first single off the new album "All I Want". During my travels I also got some new ink. For a long time I wanted to have my TV logo tattooed on me. In Colombia I finally got it done.
I visited Prague - Czech Republic, Budapest - Hungary, Koh Samui -Thailand, Nesebar - Bulgaria, Alicante - Spain, Nice - France, and Cartagena - Colombia. Out of the places I visited, Cartagena had the most unique art. Their mix of Pre-Columbian imagery, bright colors, and detailed designs, created exquisite pieces of street art. At the bottom of this post are some photos from my trip to "The Walled City" last September.
The music is moving at steady pace. Half of the new album is already recorded. This album will feature collaborations with artists from Europe and the U.S.. The first single for 2019 G.U.N. Muzik, was released January 7th and is available on all digital platforms. The song is a grimey boom bap track that sounds like a cross between DMX "Get At Me Dog" and M.O.P. "Ante Up".
It's strange that the longer I make music the more people I meet from my past. I feel blessed to be able to work with guys I went to junior high and high school with. Seeing how all these brotha's have grown into men and musicians still passionate about their craft, keeps the fire burning within me. There is new music and videos coming so here's how you stay informed. Sign-up for the newsletter and join my social media (facebook, instagram, youtube, soundcloud) so you get the news first. Then listen to the new single G.U.N. Muzik and buy a copy for all your friends. Last, go to my website tygervinum.com for more music and check out our stores (eBay, Amazon, Marktplaats, and Bol.com). We have awesome shirts and baseball caps for men and women of all sizes. (The last two were just personal requests...thanxx in advance.)
The Motto for 2019 is...see more, do more, go further, live better, love passionately, and enjoy life! I wish all of you a prosperous and successful year. This is just the beginning...let's get it!
Summer is here! The sun is finally shining in Holland. For the last few days its been hotter than trying to tan in a Volcano. Although it's been hot here for awhile, I haven't been around to enjoy it.
Over the last few months I've been traveling around Europe. I've been to Prague - Czech Republic, Budapest - Hungary, and last month Nesabar - Bulgaria. I spent a week in a place calledSunny Beach. That place was one non-stop party. It's like Ibiza on steroids. There are so many activities to do aside from partying that I needed an extra week just to get through all the tourist attractions.
My experience in Sunny Beach motivated me to write a new song. Once I got back to Holland I jumped in the studio and recorded it. The song is named "Tha GlobeTrotter." According to the dictionary a Globetrotter is, "someone who regularly travels to different parts of the world." That definition accurately describes my new song.
This Sunday I leave forKoh Pha-ngan, Thailand. I'll be there for two weeks. Next month south of France, and in September two weeks in Cartagena, Colombia. I'm always on the move. There's so many places I want to see and only have a limited amount of time to do it.
Tha GlobeTrotter, is a song about my travels and experiences around the world. The version available now is only the ruffmix. The final version will be released on my upcoming album and will have scratches added. Check out the song below. If you like what you hear drop a comment.
What's Poppin People, Today is New Muzik Monday! My new single "All I Want" gets released next week. The song details some of the hardships I've experienced in my personal life. It also discusses things I want from a relationship. A girl slash friend of mine once said, there is no perfect romance. Everybody is going through life looking for someone just as f**ked-up as they are so they can be happy together.
As odd as it sounds I have found her words to be quite true. I don't believe there's a perfect person for anyone. I do believe there is someone who is just as crazy, chaotic and creative as I am. Once I find her we can build upon that foundation. The song "All I Want" is the first single from my new album Underground Artist Major Threat. It features soul singer and producer Tone Jonez on the chorus. This song has more of an R&B and soul vibe than my usual rap tunes. Each verse details desires and experiences that anybody whose fallen in love can relate too. It comes just in time for St. Valentines Day.
Once the song has been posted on digital platforms (which is next week) I will post a buy link. For now, you can listen to it below.
While the world has been debating whether we live on a flat plain or a globe, technology has been developing at a rapid pace behind the scenes. Below are a few examples of New Technology that will change your worldview. The first two technological advancements come from the far east. China has developed the first agricultural formula that changes desert sand into fertile land. So far they've been able to grow corn, tomatoes, sunflowers and other vegetables on over two hundred hectares of sand. This amazing feat was achievable by mixing sand, water and a paste made from natural substances found in the cell walls of plants. The substances (which are not named) are extracted from the plant wall and combined with other ingredients. Once the paste is combined with sand it has the ability to retain water, nutrients, and oxygen. All the necessary ingredients for growing crops. The second big advancement to come out of China builds upon research that's already twenty years old. China has successfully cloned the first primates. They cloned twoMacaquemonkeys inside a lab. Although these Macaques are amazing and China is celebrating a groundbreaking achievement. They were not the first to clone a mammal. The first cloned animal was a sheep named Dolly. Dolly, the sheep was cloned in 1996 by a research team from Edinburgh, Scotland. The research team in China is building upon their achievements. The big difference between Dolly and the Macaques is that Macaque monkeys are primates the same as humans. This brings up big ethical questions on how close we are to cloning humans and what regulations are in place if some rogue research team actually tries it. Next on our list is a relatively unknown device called EyeDetect. This machine has better accuracy than the polygraph and doesn't require tape and wires to be attached to the skin. EyeDetect is a high-resolution infrared camera designed to capture pupil dilation, blink rate, and focal fixation to register if you're lying or telling the truth. This non-intrusive test can tell with over 85% accuracy if a person is lying in thirty minutes. It can also give an estimation of whether they're being deceptive in five minutes. Consider this... the polygraph was invented almost one hundred years ago. This is the first successful invention since that time to actually give it competition. Since EyeDetect isn't 100% accurate it would be better utilized in conjunction with the standard polygraph to give an almost 100% accuracy rate.
Last is a device that looks eerily similar to the devices used in the 2005 action, science fiction film The Island to grow clones. There is an artificial womb that was used to grow a lamb. This device basically needs the fertilized egg and some nutrients fed through a tube to grow a full sized animal. A group of students came up with a concept incubator following that same premise. It's the incubator that looks exactly like the ones used in the film...except smaller. Is art copying science or is science being masked as art. Make your own decision. Below are videos of both the artificial womb and concept incubator. One thing I can say for sure is we're living in interesting technological times.
Kangoku Gakuen (Prison School in English) is my manga guilty pleasure. It has a comedic storyline, interesting character development, kinky imagery, and insane plots. The manga is written by Akira Hiramoto. Its been serialized since 2011. The series was made into a twelve episode anime in 2015.
ThisAniMangacenters around a group of five teenage guys who attend Hachimitsu Academy. The school was formally an all-girl academy and one of the strictest schools in Tokyo. To make things worse the school is under the control of a group called the Underground Student Council. Most of its members hate men. The rest of the student body is apprehensive about talking to men because they have no experience with them. If that sounds bad..it only gets worse from there. On the high school premises is a small prison, hence the name Prison School. The five guys named Kiyoshi, Takehito, Shingo, Joji, Reiji get locked in prison.
Kiyoshi is the main character of the series. He's in love with the president of the USC (Underground Student Council) little sister Chiyo. Kiyoshi is also the love interest of Hana another member of the USC. Hana is a martial arts expert, sadistic and is jealous of Kiyoshi's affection towards Chiyo. Out of the four guys Kiyoshi is the most normal and runs into the most problems. Kiyoshi and Shingo were friends from middle school. Shingo, is your average high school delinquent. He has a pessimistic personality and almost zero loyalty towards the other four guys.
Takehito (also known as) "Gakuto" is a glasses wearing otaku with a fascination for theThree Kingdoms. Throughout the series, Gakuto proves to be a smart strategist and opportunist. During their stay in prison, Gakuto and Kiyoshi come up with several ingenious plans to escape their forced captivity. Out of all the guys, Gakuto takes the most physical abuse during the series. He also has the worse reputation.
Joji (also known as Joe) is the weakest member of the group. He has a persistent cough that never goes away. He can only take light physical exertion and is no help in their attempt to escape prison. Joe does have an affinity towards animals. At one point during the series, he is portrayed as a Doctor Dolittle by talking to a colony of ants. Joe is loyal to his friends. On numerous occasions, he tries to be the voice of reason for the group.
Reiji (also known as Andre) is the largest member of the group. He is overweight and taller than the other guys. Andre stands out from the group because he is a masochist with extra long earlobes. He enjoys pain and being degraded. During his stay in prison, he becomes obsessed with their prison guard Meiko. Like Joe, Andre is fiercely loyal to his friends. Throughout the series, he starts out as a gentle giant. As it progresses, he becomes more outgoing. Due to his strange proclivities, he becomes the object of fascination for several girls at the academy.
I'll leave the circumstances of how the guys get locked in the school prison up to you the reader to discover. What I will say is once the guys are in prison they get treated like POW's (Prisons or War). Their prison guard and enforcer for the USC is a woman named Meiko. She is in charge of keeping the guys in line by using fear, intimidation, and extreme violence. For some reason, she has a particular dislike for Gakuto.
Meiko is a tall curvaceous woman who is fiercely loyal to Mari the USC president. Meiko also has enormous breasts which she flaunts proudly. As a youth, she was bullied for her breast size until Mari befriended her and helped her develop the self-confidence to be proud of her figure. Due to her constant strength training, Meiko is often drawn sweating. She is an extreme sadist with inhuman strength. Meiko is stronger than Andre the biggest member of the guys' group. She can be seen as the main protagonist during the first half of the series.
Mari is the USC president. She is also the daughter of the Chairman of the academy. Mari hates boys and believes all men are perverts because her father has a fascination with the female form (especially butts). Mari plots and conspires with the rest of the USC to get the guys expelled from the academy. In the first half of the series, she is pure evil. During the second half, she becomes calmer because she experiences some of the torment she put the boys through. Her relationship with the chairman is tumultuous. She is overprotective of her friends and little sister Chiyo.
The character development during the series is phenomenal. The whole first half is about the USC while the second half of the series is about the above ground student council. The USC and the student council go to war for control of the academy and the five guys get trapped in the crossfire. My one criticism is that during the second half of the series some of the story arcs get dragged out. The writers break-up the action between too many chapters instead of keeping it fast-paced and condensed. Overall Kangoku Gakuen is an awesome series. If you're looking for action, ecchi, romance, comedy, interesting characters, with insane plots...I highly recommend it.
