New Muzik Monday

What's Good blog readers! I would like to welcome you all to New Muzik Monday!!!

I'm sure someone out there is wondering what  is New Muzik Monday? Let me break it down for you. Every Monday for the next few weeks I will post a new unreleased song from my upcoming album Underground Artist Major Threat ... or a side project.

I've been heavy in the studio for the last few months in between traveling and taking care of company business. Speaking of business, the www.tygervinum.com website has been completely remade and updated. Why don't you do yourself a favor and go check it out. There's new clothing, hats, music, videos, paintings, books...and everything else. The only thing missing is the kitchen sink.

Now that the business is back to running like a locomotive on a well-oiled track. I've been creating new tunes for the upcoming album and creating more art. There has been some internal debating on whether or not to make this my last album. It all depends on how I feel after the project is complete. Music is my first love but art is a close second. What you can expect from  this project is a mix of smooth R&B infused tracks and some hardcore neck-snapping heavy lyrical Hip-Hop bangers. The album will have something for Hip-Hop purist, backpackers, and everyone in between.

This week's track is "We Elevate" featuring Young Gun and Pacewon. Young Gun and I go way back.  We have several collaborations on Tha Audio Bully (Trick or Treat and If You) album and a few yet to be released songs. Young Gun is a fire spitter from Cleveland, Ohio. Pacewon is a member of New Jersey group the Outsidaz. They were a music collective that worked with the Fugees, D12, Eminem, and were affiliated with Wyclef's Refugee Camp.

Check out the new music. If you like the tune drop a comment or share it with a friend. If you don't like it ... share it anyway and tell people how much you dislike it. Love it or hate it, as long as you're listening to the music it's all good. Plus there will be a new track next week. Keep checking every week and I guarantee one of these many weeks i'll drop a tune you do like. Until then Peace!

Str8 from the Underground

This post is for all my people who love dope lyrics and hard rhymes. Some of the MC's below were considered underground in the beginning of their careers, and as time progressed they became excepted by the mainstream.

I'm a fan of all types of music from commercial to avant-garde, but my favorite is underground Hip-Hop. Its the one style of music that still speaks for the hungry, disenfranchised artist trying to get their music heard. In allot of ways it can be considered the pulse of the street and heart of Hip-Hop

Below is a video by one of my favorite members of D.I.T.C. (Diggin In The Crates) A.G.. He is one of those MC's who, year after year keeps spittin sickness like he has a virus. For those who don't know D.I.T.C. was also home to Showbiz, Big L and Fat Joe. There are also videos from Pace Won, The Grouch & Eligh, Film Skool Rejekts, Crooked I, Jus Allah, and DU from the Outsidaz.

New Muzik

Happy Holidays People,

In the festive spirit of the Yule tide season I come bearing gifts. New Muzik from industry veterans and fresh faces. I call new muzik songs that have a strong beat, good lyrics, catchy chorus and  the artists image and appearance is congruent to whatever he's relaying in the song.

First up is Pace Won. He was a member of the group "Outsidaz,” back in the 90's which included members Eminem and Bizarre before they created D12. He also did collabo’s with Flipmode Squad and the Fugees. He’s back with a hot track with Mr. Green and Rival called “My Song.”

Next is Murs and 9th Wonder with a melodic Ode to Hip-Hop called “I used to love her again." 9th is one of the go to producers for hit records. Murs is a conscious rapper and part of groups Living Legends and Mystik Journeymen

Followed by Saigon, dropping conscious poems with depth on his track "Together Dear Black America." Saigon has been around for awhile steadily building a buzz over the years but due to label problems has yet to release his long anticipated album "The Greatest story never told."  Perhaps on the strength of this track and other buzz worthy singles the album will be released in the new year.

Finally Drag-On former member of heavyweight label the Ruff Ryders, along with The Lox, DMX, Eve, and Cassidy. Drag took a brief hiatus from the game after dropping his last project in 2004 and now is back bringing the heat for the winter. The track "Swine Flu" featuring Jadakiss and Trish Barnes is a return to 90's Hip-Hop with hard rhymes, beats, and delivery. Enjoy!
