Winter Tunes

Winter is cold...and the music is too. I've been working over time in the studio and making videos for 2014.

Below are some winter tunes from myself and a few new comers. First, there's my motion graphics video for the song I did with Kool G. Rap called "Controllin Tha Game".

Then, there's SACE better known as Southeast Slim from the DC Metro area. He's been producing  and repping DC for over a decade but has yet to achieve national recognition. Recently he released a ventilation track (telling all the details) against MMG artist Wale. The two were close friends before Wale was signed, but after joining MMG things changed.

Last are videos by ASAP Nast of the ASAP Mob, and T-Pain. The ASAP joint features Method Man and is fiya. T-Pain is more of an R&B guy but occasionally spits some flames. His song "Work" has that old school braggadocious feel, with new school sounds.
Check out the tunes...

Tha Audio Bully

 What's Poppin People!

The track posted below "Tha Audio Bully" is also the title of the new album. The song is hardcore rhymes over head-nodding production

I was in my M.O.P mind state when recording this track. If you don't know who M.O.P (Mash Out Posse) is...then check out their songs "Ante-Up" and "Sparta"...you will become a fan.

There's more music coming next month and I'll post some science and technology articles as well.

Checkout the new track, leave a comment and don't forget to tell a friend to tell a friend.

New Muzik

The weather scorching and the New Muzik is too. The time of popcorn and bubble gum rap seems to be coming to an end. (not a moment to soon I might add)

It's the return of the boom bap music and dope lyrics. Below is some New Muzik from a wide range of artists. I'm not going to waste time writing a dissertation on each persons history. Everyone in the list gets busy and if you like their music check their page in the link list.

No More Album Reviews

I've been kinda slacking on the album reviews lately. It took a few emails from dedicated readers to remind me that some people like to get an outside opinion on an album before purchase.

With that said, I will no longer be posting album reviews. I'll still do posts on music but I'm done reviewing whole albums. There's two reasons why I came to this decision. First, I haven't heard an album in a while that I can listen to from start to finish. There's always a few filler tracks that are sub-par and I'm not into giving bad press. As a MC I get enough criticism from half-wit critics who have never written a song in their life. That I rather not critique other artists on a social platform. I want people to listen to the music with no preconceptions and give their own critique.

Second, This blog was created to share my interests in a broad spectrum of fields. There are so many interesting topics to cover in the fields of technology, science, and art. That spending time reviewing another persons material (for free) is a waste of blog space. With that said I leave you with new tunes from my fam in France, DJ Modesty. Also Hynief, Saigon, Gensu Dean, Ruste Juxx, and Tyger Vinum

World-Wide Riderz

Tomorrow is St. Valentines Day. A time when people give cards and candy to their lovers or romantic interests. I find it amusing that the actual origin of the holiday like so many others is marred with the blood of innocents. Yet twisted into some festive occasion that people celebrate without ever learning where it came from.

The actual saints name was Valentinus. He was a Christian saint who was imprisoned for performing marriages for soldiers who were forbidden to marry and for ministering, which was illegal in the Roman Empire. He was subsequently executed after healing the daughter of his jailer. How that became a day of flowers and candy baffles me. But I digress...

This post is about sharing new music! I just finished a new song "World-Wide Riderz," featuring my mann Cleva from Minneapolis, Minnesota (known for the twin cities). The song is a grimey street anthem, with hardcore lyricism describing the street culture in different cities around the world. Take a listen and if you like the track leave a comment and tell a friend to tell a friend

Trick or Treat (The Halloween song)

I've been heavily in the studio this month trying to finish up the new album.

Since it's still the giving season I offer you my loyal readers a new track fresh out the studio. It's a concept song about Halloween. On Halloween everyone is allowed to wear a mask so trying to identify someone after a crime occurred could be quite difficult.

We took that concept and ran with it.
The song is off my upcoming album "Tha Audio Bully".
It's titled "Trick or Treat" aka The Halloween song, and it features Young Gun a dope MC out of Cleveland. The track is raw Hip-Hop flavor with a fast paced beat and hardcore lyricism.

Take a listen and if you like the song, download it and tell a friend to tell a friend.

Str8 from the Underground

This post is for all my people who love dope lyrics and hard rhymes. Some of the MC's below were considered underground in the beginning of their careers, and as time progressed they became excepted by the mainstream.

I'm a fan of all types of music from commercial to avant-garde, but my favorite is underground Hip-Hop. Its the one style of music that still speaks for the hungry, disenfranchised artist trying to get their music heard. In allot of ways it can be considered the pulse of the street and heart of Hip-Hop

Below is a video by one of my favorite members of D.I.T.C. (Diggin In The Crates) A.G.. He is one of those MC's who, year after year keeps spittin sickness like he has a virus. For those who don't know D.I.T.C. was also home to Showbiz, Big L and Fat Joe. There are also videos from Pace Won, The Grouch & Eligh, Film Skool Rejekts, Crooked I, Jus Allah, and DU from the Outsidaz.

New Muzik

The New Muzik keeps coming! Since last post I've been busy working on the album and listening to music. Most of the material I feel is from underground cats, but that's for the next post. This is about new music (some of the other tracks are older) from a variety of artists. There's tunes from School Boy Q ft. Asap Rocky "Hands on the Wheel," Bobby Creekwater ft. Stat Quo "Alright Alright," Tyger Vinum "Defying Gravity" Kendrick Lemar ft. Curtains x "Live Again" and Nappy Roots "Pete Rose".

Nappy Roots are a multi-platinum selling group that gained critical acclaim a few years back then disappeared. The group went through a transition period and member R. Prophet left for a solo career. Now they're back and the track is Fiya! Below is all different types of flavor from MC's with unique flow and delivery.

2012 Tunes

A new year is here! The month is going so fast, I gotta ride lightening bolts to keep up.

I've been in the studio non-stop working on music for the new album. Tha Audio Bully project is halfway done, featuring production from around the globe. In between working on music and preparing for Midem at the end of the month, I've been making videos.

In the spirit of the giving season I offer you the video for my song "Grimey" along with new 2012 tunes from Sam Scarfo, Sticky Fingaz, and Metro P featuring the Jacka.

Check the Rhyme

Below is music by some real spit boxers. I've been a fan of Immortal Technique for years. He always comes with thought provoking, lyrical verses that compel the listener pay attention to the underlying message.

Vakill is an underground legend from Chicago that has worked with some of the best MC's in the business. He's released several projects and does allot of music with the Molemen. Check the rhymes by them and the new crew triple threat for some real Hip-Hop.

Mix of Flavor

Spring is in the air! I'm outside more and behind the keyboard less. When indoors I've been working on my own music more than listening to other peoples. So this post is a mix of flavor, which is a blend of new music with established artists and underground cats.

There's Riz a underground MC from Harlem building a buzz for making hot tracks. Killer Mike aka Mike Bigga who has been featured on several Outkast albums. He was also signed to Big Boi's label for awhile before being released and going independent. The beat to Killer Mike's track "Ready Set Go" is straight FIYA! Guilty Simpson has been reppin the D (Detroit) for a minute. He along with Black Milk and Sean Price formed the supergroup Random Axe and have been putting out bangers since.

Last is underground rhyme spitter Reef the Lost Cauze from Philly. He's a former member of Army of the Pharaohs with Vinne Paz and has been putting out records for years. His buzz as a solo artist gained more momentum when he was featured on the Snowgoons projects.
