New Discoveries

Welcome to 2017! The fields of medicine and technology have expanded rapidly over the last year. Below are a few groundbreaking new discoveries that may have slipped under your radar.

First, is the discovery of a new human organ called the "Mesentery". The Mesentary is an organ located around the intestines that was once thought of as extra fatty tissue. Since its discovery earlier this month, scientists were able to identify its shape and structure. Right now scientists don't know what functions it performs in the human body. Just for the record...There are quite a few disbelievers who think that this is a hoax. They say with all the technology (x-ray, CAT-scan, etcetera) someone would've discovered this organ already. I find the discussion interesting. To learn more about the Mesentery and the doctor who discovered it, watch the video below.

Scientists in Australia have discovered a berry that can cure many types of cancer in just 48 hours. The berry comes from the Blushwood tree, which is only found in the jungles of Queensland, Australia. The seeds from the tree contain a molecule scientist have named EBC-46. Once injected this molecule triggers the immune system to become hyperactive and it attacks cancer cells. The drug has already passed animal trials and is now being tested on humans. Learn more about this amazing discovery by watching the video below.

This is actually an old discovery, but since I'm speaking about seeds that kill cancer, it deserves honorable mention. The apple seed is said to have similar properties to the Blushberry tree. The Apple seed is 10,000 more effective than Chemotherapy, has no harmful side effects, and is effective against any form of cancer. It also has anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties. Apple seeds are also used to remove parasites and worms from the body. If you want to know why they're not being harvested to fight cancer...watch the video below.

Last, is an invention that would benefit people in countries like Africa, Haiti, and the Middle East. The "WaterSeer," is a device that extracts moisture from the air to create water. This innovative device has no electrical parts or chemicals and produces 11 gallons of clean water a day. This is not a concept model; WaterSeer is a functioning and field tested device. To learn more about the WaterSeer check the video and their website www.waterseer.org for more information. The FAQ's (Frequently Asked Questions are found at the bottom of the page.

Video Babble

I love information...acquiring it, learning it, using it and sharing it. This post is called video babble cuz it's a mix of all types of interesting information.

For instance, have you ever wondered what sound looked like? I have. The only time I saw actual sound was on an acid trip back in 1990's. During the trip I could see sound waves and hear colors. Needless to say after that experience... I had to stop doing Acid.  Now here we are 20 years later and it seems I wasn't (really) crazy after all.

Through a technique called Schlieren Flow Visualization which registers changes in air pressure. Mike Hargather, a professor of mechanical engineering at New Mexico Tech, shares what sound waves look like. He shows everything from a human clap to the explosive firing power of an AK 47.

Another interesting video I ran across will make you want to drink bottled water exclusively if you live in the United Kingdom. Last week the Drinking Water Inspectorate (they inspect tap water) of the UK found metabolized traces of Cocaine in the drinking water. When I say metabolized, that means the cokes been, inhaled, injected, ingested, smoked, or shot intravenously. Once the body metabolizes the narcotic, the left over coke is urinated out. Trace elements of that pee-pee powder is what inspectors have found in purified tap water.

So in layman's terms... there is so much Cocaine use in the UK that even after a strict purification process they can't remove it from the water supply. To find out more about this weird but fun fact check out the video below.

I saved the best for last. In 1979 a Utah Police officer went undercover to expose the KKK and ends up becoming their leader. That's not the interesting part. What makes this case unbelievable is the cop that infiltrated the KKK was a black man. Wait...did you read that right? Did he just say a black man became the leader of the Klu Klux Klan? Yes he did! The natural question to ask is "how?" That's where the story get's complicated.  For the whole story, check out the link (KKK Infiltrated) and watch the video below. To find out how a black police officer became a Grand Dragon of the KKK.

My Addictions

Hello Music Lovers,

Here is my new video "My Addictions" off the Grindin Muzik album. The video features footage from shows in New York, Miami, Amsterdam and Las Vegas. The song is about dealing with addiction.

Everyone has an addiction to something. It can be to their cell phone, food, drugs, work, sex, or money. There's nothing wrong with having an addiction. It only becomes a problem when a person lets it get out of control. When I was younger that's what O.G.'s (Original "Old" Gangsta's) would call "having a monkey on your back."  My addictions are no worse than then next persons the only difference is... I'm honest about mine.

Tormented Art

Amedeo Modigliani  (July 12, 1884 – January 24, 1920) wasn't an extraordinary painter or sculptor. What made his work famous is the story behind the art

I never knew of Modigliani until I saw Andy Garcia play a fictionalized account of his life in the film Modigliani. In the film Modigliani is an up and coming Italian painter who becomes the art rival of then famous Pablo Picasso. He battles with canvas, Picasso, addiction and his love of women. My favorite line from the film is also the best description of the artist. "Why must you suffer for your art Mo, when all you have to do is paint."

Afterwards I researched Modigliani and found his real history far more interesting than the movie. Modigliani made tormented art. He suffered and lived with illness his entire life. He was born into a wealthy Italian Jewish family who were well established in their community. Modigliani contracted pleurisy when he was 11, then a few years later caught typhoid fever. When he was 16, he contracted tuberculosis which later claimed his life at 35

During his brief career Modigliani was a man obsessed with art. He would sometimes do up to 100 sketches in a day. He loved alcohol, drugs and women just as much so he was often homeless and broke. During those low periods he would sell sketches and paintings for necessities, so the majority of his work is lost history.

The art that remains has become far more famous than Modigliani dreamed. He was a talented, and tormented man who only managed one art show in his entire career. Back in 2010 a series of his paintings from 1917 sold for over 68 million dollars. A testament that his art was before his time

Below are some paintings from Amedeo Modigliani, the man, myth and legend. If you would like to see more of his work click the link: Modigliani Gallery.
