Music, Money and Mayhem

"Only mystics can see the hidden future the rest of us wish to know. Is bitcoin falling down to 10k...which way will it go?"

It's been very busy in my warped reality and I'm enjoying the momentum. There are a few people I've been working with for over a decade who still make music. My guy Sliscobars is a producer, recording artist, and talent curator who has a list of hits. He's produced for local and international artists. On my last album he made beats for songs "That's Life, Overseas Connection, and New York Spit." When we're in the studio together the vibe is electric like a lightening storm.

Another friend B1 is throwing the Raw Amsterdam Hip-Hop event at the end of the month.
B1 is half of the Dutch rap and production duo LPC. They put out a few vinyl's and did collabos locally back in the day. We used to perform at the same places with my guy DJ Nemo which is part of how we became friends. Now he organizes hip-hop events in between making luxury watches. The party is going to be lit. If you're in the city and want to rhyme or watch talent come through. I'll be there spittin' bars.

Talking about events. I'll be hosting a 45 minute workshop in the Bored.ai discord on June 12th at 11am (5pm Amsterdam time). As I mentioned in a previous blog I run the Mental Gymnastics Club in their server. Several of us curators have clubs and each week a different artist will give a workshop. My workshop will give instructions on how to generate text to art based on time, space, science, and technology. There will also be a live demonstration of my creation style, then a short creator contest at the end. If you're interested in joining just click the invite link. When you're in general chat just say "Mr.Poizonous sent u." They will give u some credits to try the generator.

The financial markets are falling like a tree cut with a chainsaw. As I write this Eth is at 1750 and struggling to hold it. No matter how juicy that price looks my mind says "bear trap, beware." Until I see some serious price action to the upside I still believe it can go lower. To combat the crypto price crunch. I've been staking and using Celsius. I mentioned Celsius before but didn't provide balanced information. First Celsius is not a bank. Their slogan is "Unbank Yourself. It's a lending and borrowing platform. You can borrow money against your crypto to survive the bear winter without selling. This is not financial advice.

Second thing I didn't mention is that Celsius doesn't have a custodial wallet.
That means your crypto isn't actually on Celsius. They take your crypto and loan it out to big hedge funds and market makers so that you earn a nice yield. Celsius pays it out every week like clockwork. In layman's terms they pay u to hodl on their platform. It's a good arrangement  and can be very lucrative, but not without flaws. Since they don't have your crypto when u want to withdrawal sometimes it can take a few hours depending on market conditions. That means it's not ideal if u need to withdrawal quickly for a trade or cash.

Also, to get higher yield on your coins u need to hold some of the native Cel token. The more Cel u hold the higher the yield.
This isn't really a flaw because Cel has great tokenomics. Not to get too nerdy, but the Cel token is deflationary. That means there is a finite amount of tokens (like Bitcoin). As they burn the tokens less are in circulation which makes the value keep rising over time. Most tokens in the crypto space are inflationary, which means the more there are the lower their value (like Doge). When u compare the pros and cons Celsius blows their competitors out of the water. That's exactly why I use them. (not financial advice)

As u know I've always been a fan of disruptive technologies like A.I., cybernetics, virtual reality, blockchain and quantum computers. Celsius is disrupting the banking system by giving their customers an alternative to withdrawal fees and hidden taxes. Just ask yourself this. Is it better to sell your crypto while the market mayhem is happening and take the loss? Or is it better to lend it to Celsius and take out a loan until the market recovers. Only u know the answer. It's usually what lets u sleep better at night. Do your own research and see how they work.

This bear market can last until middle of 2023, but expect a bounce before then.
That means u possibly have a year to accumulate and time to wait. The future is in your hands like clay eager to be molded. I'm watching the market less, creating and working out more. The weather is finally getting nice so it's time for a beach body. It's always good to detach from the market, get outdoors and connect with nature. I don't know how things are where u live but in Holland the summers are quite short. I wish u health, wealth and success.

Banksy in Amsterdam

One of my favorite modern visual artists has come to Amsterdam...Banksy! If you're unfamiliar with Banksy here's what I know. He is originally from the UK. He makes grafitti, stencil art, sculptures, and directs movies. His identity is currently a mystery and he has an exhibition here in Amsterdam from July 18th - September 30th.

To my knowledge Banksy doesn't reproduce or sell any of his creations. Most feature satirical images of war and instruments of violence. He uses humor and amazing visuals to get people talking about subjects that are often considered taboo. His unique style has achieved international success. Below are some Banksy images I shot by Centraal Station mixed with a few favorites I found on google. If you would like to know more about the artist or see more if his art go to his webpage Banksy.co.uk.

Love Hip-Hop Remix

The wait is over! A few posts back I mentioned working on a collaboration with east coast rhyme spitter Shabaam Sahdeeq and French cut master DJ Modesty

The project was a remix to "Love Hip-Hop" a song  off "Tha Audio Bully" album released back in February 2015. It was released as a single in July. The single made it on the Music Week, Urban Club Chart in September. In three weeks the track moved up the charts from position #23 to #15.

You can buy a copy of the Love Hip-Hop Remix by pressing the link. The remix is a whole different song. It features harder bars, more punch-lines and DJ Modesty scratches to tie it all together. This international collaboration brings together New York, France, and Amsterdam representing real boom bap Hip-Hop. Listen to the track below and if you love Hip-Hop music buy a copy.

New Video and Art

What's poppin people!

It's been awhile since my last post. During that time I've been through more up's and down's than a roller-coaster.

The "down's" were having leg surgery to remove the metal plate and 5 screws I got a long time ago. The surgery went well but due to a hematoma I had to keep my leg elevated and couldn't walk for a month. It's been a month and a half since surgery and the hole on my leg has finally closed up.

The "up's" by far outweigh the "down's" in terms of creativity. Once I was mobile again, I shot the video for New York Spit. The song is Dollarmentary and I trading bars about our love of Hip-Hop over a classic 90's beat. The video was shot in Amsterdam and New York City. This was the second single off "Tha Audio Bully" album coming January 2015. The song is available on iTunes by clicking the link.

During my recuperation I spent entire days drawing and writing. The results from those endeavors were primitive colored creations. The drawings were done in blue, red, and black ink. Not by choice...those were the only pens around me at the time. With the exception of "Gun Pop Art" which was drawn and shaded in black pen. Then it was colored in marker by a friend.  Some of the images will be used in future painting like "Lucky 13" or "Cat in Baby Suit,"  the rest were for practice.

There are more videos, music, and blog posts coming in 2015. I had to focus less on the posting and more on the creating for awhile, but in 2015 I'll figure out how to balance the two. Check out the new video and art. If you like what you see leave a comment and repost it to a friend

World-Wide Riderz

Tomorrow is St. Valentines Day. A time when people give cards and candy to their lovers or romantic interests. I find it amusing that the actual origin of the holiday like so many others is marred with the blood of innocents. Yet twisted into some festive occasion that people celebrate without ever learning where it came from.

The actual saints name was Valentinus. He was a Christian saint who was imprisoned for performing marriages for soldiers who were forbidden to marry and for ministering, which was illegal in the Roman Empire. He was subsequently executed after healing the daughter of his jailer. How that became a day of flowers and candy baffles me. But I digress...

This post is about sharing new music! I just finished a new song "World-Wide Riderz," featuring my mann Cleva from Minneapolis, Minnesota (known for the twin cities). The song is a grimey street anthem, with hardcore lyricism describing the street culture in different cities around the world. Take a listen and if you like the track leave a comment and tell a friend to tell a friend

My Addictions

Hello Music Lovers,

Here is my new video "My Addictions" off the Grindin Muzik album. The video features footage from shows in New York, Miami, Amsterdam and Las Vegas. The song is about dealing with addiction.

Everyone has an addiction to something. It can be to their cell phone, food, drugs, work, sex, or money. There's nothing wrong with having an addiction. It only becomes a problem when a person lets it get out of control. When I was younger that's what O.G.'s (Original "Old" Gangsta's) would call "having a monkey on your back."  My addictions are no worse than then next persons the only difference is... I'm honest about mine.

If u like the video click the like button on youtube and on my FB page https://www.facebook.com/pages/Tyger-Vinum/374086131102. Thanxx 4 the support.

Local Graff Art 2

In the spirit of the giving season I offer the next installment of the Local Graff series.

Below are some pics I shot in Amsterdam Oost (East) by a place named Flevopark. This park is known as one of the meccas of graffiti, because of all the tall walls and low police intervention. While roaming the area looking for good pics to post, I was fortunate enough to see a group of talented artists paint a new mural in front of me.  Check the pics below
