AniManga: KaraKuri Circus

It's been a while since I've watched an anime that's almost a perfect adaption of the manga. KaraKuri Circus is a manga written by Kazuhiro Fujita. Published from 1997 - 2006 The anime aired from October 2018 - June 2019.

The story is about a boy named Masaru who wants to become a puppeteer. It sounds simple. The anime is full of complexity and plot twists that make you binge watch at three in the morning.  Masaru's story is part of an older story that started over 400 years before Masaru was born.

Two brothers Bai Yin (older by a three years) and Bai Jin traveled from China to Prague to study western alchemy. They met a woman named Francine and both fell in love with her. The younger brother, Jin professes his love for Francine to his older brother, Yin. The older brother asks Francine to marry him. In retaliation Jin steals Francine, defiles her and hides in a small town.

Yin finds Francine after five years of searching. He finds her imprisoned and sick from poor treatment. Not only from his younger brother but also the villagers. They were superstitious and feared Francine was a witch because of her silver-colored hair. She dies in a fire before Yin could free her from captivity. Yin confronted Jin and found that his brother had gone insane but had also successfully created an elixir for immortality.

After Yin left in grief over Francine Jin created a doll of Francine. He uses hair from the real Francine combined with his elixir and alchemy to bring the doll to life. The new Francine was perfect in every way except he couldn't get her to smile. To solve the problem along with his boredom Jin made puppets called Automaton. Their job was to serve Francine and make her smile. To achieve this goal they created a circus group called the Midnight Circus.

Fast forward to modern times. Bai Yin, Bai Jin, and Francine have all been reincarnated. The elixir of life got poured into the town Well and made all the villagers into Shirogane. The Shirogane age one year for every seven human years. They possess immense strength, speed, regenerative abilities, and their blood is poison to Automaton. Francine was a Shirogane from birth. She was trained as a puppeteer who could manipulate puppets to battle Automaton.

Bai Jin created a disease called Zonapha Syndrome to punish mankind for losing Francine. The Midnight Circus and other Automaton travel the world spreading the Zonapha Syndrome. The Automaton of modern times no longer perform circus tricks. Instead they hunt humans and drain their fluids to use as fuel. Masaru, Francine, Bai Yin, and the rest of the Shirogane battle to stop Zonapha Syndrome from destroying the world.

The story is original. The action and art style is awesome. The plot has love, betrayal, ambition, good character development and enough action to keep you pressing the play button. There's also deep questions of morality and loyalty between men and family. If you're a fan of awesome anime check out KaraKuri Circus

Tha GlobeTrotter

We're back like I never left. The last few months have been traveling, creating, and planting seeds for the future.

The time has been well spent outdoors doing activities instead of sitting behind the computer writing. The positive is I've recorded new songs, made a new video, and traveled to the U.S., Japan, and Bulgaria. The negative is I haven't updated the blog in a few months.

Thanks for the wait. My new single Tha GlobeTrotter is now available on all digital platforms. The song describes some of the adventures I experienced traveling around the globe. The video was shot in June. It was recorded between locations Sunny Beach in Nesebar, Bulgaria and Amsterdam, Holland. The production was done by JaRaheem from Scientific SoundLabs out of Philly, PA. The same guy who produced G.U.N. Muzik

Aside from the single I've been recording a lot of new songs. I'm really heavy in the boom bap style of production. My music puts more emphasis on lyrical content than production. Speaking of dope producers. Check out my man DoomDaWiz new mixtape Wizdom. It features over thirty tracks of hard emcees over boom bap production.

My next trip is to Split, Croatia. I leave in about a week to get video footage for the next project. It's the last trip for this year. The rest of the year will be concentrated on completing the album and preparing for a family expansion.

Stay tuned for more music and videos over the next few months. Below are some photos from my trips and a few pieces of thought provoking street art.

Welkom to 2019...

Welkom to 2019! It's a new year full of potential opportunities. I would like to thank all of my supporters for sticking by me during the turbulence of 2018. I also want to thank all my haters for fueling my motivation to go harder and make the business bigger this year. Without the love and the hate...I could never evolve into a better man.

Last year was hard in business and my personal life. Some of the problems bled into my music while the others remained in the shadows. There's an old saying called Murphy's Law, which states..."Anything that can go wrong will go wrong." For me all the things went wrong around the same time. The crypto market crashed. For those of you who don't know, I'm a serious cryptocurrency investor. I started with mining bitcoin and namecoin back in 2014, and later got into trading. When the market crashed last year it caused a ripple effect damaging my other business endeavors like music and merchandising. I lost a lot of money and had to rearrange my assets to start making it back.

Last year wasn't all bad though. I got to do a lot of traveling to places on my bucket list and released the first single off the new album "All I Want". During my travels I also got some new ink. For a long time I wanted to have my TV logo tattooed on me. In Colombia I finally got it done.

I visited Prague - Czech Republic, Budapest - Hungary, Koh Samui -Thailand, Nesebar - Bulgaria, Alicante - Spain, Nice - France, and Cartagena - Colombia. Out of the places I visited, Cartagena had the most unique art. Their mix of Pre-Columbian imagery, bright colors, and detailed designs, created exquisite pieces of street art. At the bottom of this post are some photos from my trip to "The Walled City" last September.

The music is moving at steady pace. Half of the new album is already recorded. This album will feature collaborations with artists from Europe and the U.S.. The first single for 2019 G.U.N. Muzik, was released January 7th and is available on all digital platforms. The song is a grimey boom bap track that sounds like a cross between DMX "Get At Me Dog" and M.O.P. "Ante Up".

It's strange that the longer I make music the more people I meet from my past. I feel blessed to be able to work with guys I went to junior high and high school with. Seeing how all these brotha's have grown into men and musicians still passionate about their craft, keeps the fire burning within me. There is new music and videos coming so here's how you stay informed. Sign-up for the newsletter and join my social media (facebook, instagram, youtube, soundcloud) so you get the news first. Then listen to the new single G.U.N. Muzik  and buy a copy for all your friends. Last, go to my website tygervinum.com for more music and check out our stores (eBay, Amazon, Marktplaats, and Bol.com). We have awesome shirts and baseball caps for men and women of all sizes. (The last two were just personal requests...thanxx in advance.)

The Motto for 2019 is...see more, do more, go further, live better, love passionately, and enjoy life! I wish all of you a prosperous and successful year. This is just the beginning...let's get it!
